The window manufacturer says that the condensation between the panes is not a defect and is due to construction moisture. My question: Is the space between the panes a cavity or - as Alex85 writes - filled with gas, which must be tightly sealed, or is water or moisture allowed to enter, which can then escape?

Take a look at the article on Mehrscheiben-Isolierglas on Wikipedia

Now honestly, have you ever considered water between window panes normal? Your window installer is an idiot and just can’t be bothered with the effort. To be fair, a defective window isn’t his fault. But the repair along with the warranty still remains his responsibility. Unless you procured the windows yourself, then he doesn’t have to do anything.

If that is not airtight, you might as well use single-pane glass. The principle of insulation here is based on the fact that a stationary layer of gas is a poor conductor of heat. If this layer does not remain stationary, the thermal conductivity values are compromised.

I don't understand the construction carpenter either. It's obvious that the glass will end up back on the table with the warranty... so now, do it properly and immediately. The site manager should also intervene. Karsten

Exactly, me neither. It's not his fault but that of the pane or window manufacturer, right?
