Oh yes, it does. We had a reasonable financial framework, but it wasn’t unlimited either. However, we always decided that the things that are supposed to stay longer or be permanently installed should be high quality from the start so that they don’t need to be replaced later (tiles, floor, railing, kitchen, etc.). Otherwise, Billy has also found its way into our home and some things have been postponed for a long time. Our entrance area is still a temporary solution and will probably remain so for the next few years. But eventually, something suitable will go there (currently an old Pax wardrobe and a bench that we used to have at the dining table). So we certainly have our limits... They’re probably different from those of a couple in their mid to late twenties with small children or the desire to have children, but we also had a few more years to save equity and I already opened my first building savings contract in school and bought my first apartment after university. And it was luckily in Munich, which gave us a good starting capital for the house ;)
