The effect is probably more than minimal. For that, in winter you'll have drafts because of it and two holes in the wall through which more noise from outside comes in.

No, since the Poroton walls and the red lime plaster and lime paint are alkaline, nothing can mold on them. They also regulate moisture to a certain extent. However, the ceilings are made of concrete, covered, and have woodchip wallpaper. That could already develop mold!?

Do you really think that doesn't help? At night, you could easily have 2 full air changes. The solid construction stores the heat from the day, and you could dissipate it somewhat this way.

So yesterday I was at another developer again. He also builds diffusion-open. Since I definitely want that, I only go to such providers. Maybe that's the mistake. In real life, everyone advises me against controlled residential ventilation. Here in the virtual world, everyone definitely recommends a controlled residential ventilation system. You can guess what the developer said. He installs controlled residential ventilation in only 10% of his customers' homes. It is not necessary with his diffusion-open construction method using wood. I am very grateful for your experience reports. Maybe you still add whether you have a vapor barrier in the walls or, as my developers always say: Do you live in a plastic bag or a Gore-Tex jacket?

Then tell the molds that they are not allowed up there.

As soon as people occupy a room/building, moisture arises. Without sufficient heating and ventilation, mold always and everywhere forms.

That may have many causes, but usually people don't know any better, so they don't install the systems, or it's too expensive for them. Many only think until noon. And houses nowadays are no longer built according to the specifications of the 70s-80s but are generally as airtight as a balloon.

However, those who are familiar with houses with ventilation systems also know the difference.

Ah yes, so the laws of physics are different in wooden houses than everywhere else, and the energy saving regulation requirements are completely different in wooden houses... yes sure...

Furniture/ carpets can also be affected by mold with insufficient ventilation.
