Interesting, that makes sense to me!

That means, for example, if you want to compact gravel up to 1.6cm or, for example, chippings. So you could do that up to a height of 5cm with the plate described above?

Thanks!!!

Best regards

Robert

Densify, yes, but the question is: is it densely packed enough afterwards?

I think with the others there is an undertone: Get yourselves a bigger vibrating plate. It can't fail because of the 150 euros. Why else this experiment?

I had already thought that too - but the soil to be compacted is in an older barn. I actually don't want to introduce too much energy/vibration there... However, I'm really considering whether to return the Scheppach HP800S I bought yesterday and get something more powerful.

Thank you for your answers!

And what do you do with the floor slab in a barn then?

Are there more surprises that you simply don’t mention?

I’m out, no more recommendations from me, since I don’t know if the roof will fall on its head when you start shaking it, with whatever.

You definitely have to water properly. This reduces friction and the stuff slides together with less pressure, but not with the toy you have there. And I consider it rather unlikely that the roof will fall on your head from shaking, unless the barn is about to collapse anyway. Just put on a helmet
