Coated shower cabin - 8 weeks old - how to remove limescale

Hi,

we have decided on a coated shower cabin (glass). Already now (after 8 weeks) we have such lime stains on it that hardly come off anymore. According to the instructions, you should use a glass cleaner. It doesn't help at all. How do I get rid of these lime stains and with what kind of cleaning cloth? Microfiber is said not to be good, I've already heard that...

Did you let the drops dry on the glass or did you always wipe them away nicely after showering?

There are quite a few remedies against limescale, but I’m not familiar with the material...

Try it if you get your hands on Secusept.
That is a hand disinfectant, that stuff helps with almost everything.
I also use it, for example, for the TFT monitor and flat TV..

We didn’t always wipe them off immediately, now we want to get rid of the stains first and then probably always wipe them off... :(

Yep, I would always peel them off (or dry rub with a cloth), because lime also remains on the coating.

The coating does not really last long. However, you do not need any miracle cleaners to keep the shower clean. Just use regular vinegar cleaner for cleaning and then always squeegee after showering.
