Properly and permanently sealing a roll layer against penetrating moisture (rain side) is not easy. I would also rather recommend a conventional exterior windowsill.

In the north, the rolling layers are usually steeply inclined. This is supposed to be a basic requirement for correct execution. We thought about it for a long time and ended up with granite window sills.

We have an impregnated VerBlender from Olfry. No idea if this would have made a difference with the rolling layer.
