Clinker pavers - do they suit a new building?

Hello everyone,

we are currently planning our outdoor area and are facing the choice of paving stones. Our house is white/gray with anthracite-colored windows, and we quite like concrete paving stones in various shades of gray (from anthracite to light gray). However, we are concerned that the color might wash out over time and the stones will then all look the same. RINN, Rinn Beton- und Naturstein offers a paving stone with a Rinnit natural stone surface, where this cannot happen. However, it is in a completely different price league.

The alternative to concrete paving would be clinker paving, but it is not available in these different tones. You also rarely see it in new buildings in our area, so we find it hard to imagine whether it fits our house or modern new buildings. Are there builders here who have paved with clinker paving on a similarly colored house?

There are also dark gray/dark red/eggplant clinker pavers... so you should be able to find something suitable in terms of color. Honestly, I can't really imagine red for that, unless you had a red roof - but nowadays everyone has gray (unfortunately we do too, because of the semi-detached house and the neighbors didn't want red, which is a real shame).

Paving bricks are also available in shades of gray. Check in the IT. It's also a matter of taste. Rinn, (Rinn Beton- und Natursten), is recommended.

Best regards

Our roof is black or rather anthracite. I have already scoured half the internet for pictures, but you mostly only find images of houses with brick cladding or houses with a different construction style. Therefore, I thought I’d ask here. I haven’t seen any shades of gray so far, only anthracite, possibly mixed with red tones. Do you have any tips on that?

It shouldn’t be completely anthracite because that is too dark for us. We would like to set a few color accents somehow, and the concrete paving actually fits very well with that. However, until now, everyone has advised us against colored concrete products because they don’t look nice for long and the color doesn’t last. We would rather spend a bit more now and enjoy it for a long time, but it also has to look good.

Take a look at Wienerberger in the product catalog, there are about 40 paving bricks included, I could imagine the Stralsund for a white/grey house.
