What do the approval documents say? You should be able to dig up some plans, right?
Alternatively: Do not brick the gable, but execute it as wood cladding. (Details need to be planned here as well, but structurally this should be uncritical, nothing will tip over.)
Well, there is a structural calculation and a floor plan, but nothing that says what the gable is made of.
We had considered wood cladding before. We would probably see it as an emergency solution.
If the base for the bricks is missing, you'd probably have to plaster the bottom or put a foundation underneath. Wood wouldn’t be an option for me at the bottom, though.
The base for the bricks is present. Anchors are already distributed all around the wall.
There apparently are versions with real brick slips. To what extent one could possibly do this oneself on cement fiberboards or the like (i.e., lay bricks on the board, then attach the board), I haven't investigated.
Sounds a bit like tinkering, but it could work.
But wouldn’t it be enough to build the gable out of sand-lime bricks? I mean, you’d then have a lot of weight supported by gravity on the ring beam and bricks.
