Hi
At the moment I am facing a problem. From 1.7.22 the new climate protection law applies in Schleswig Holstein. My house was built at the end of the 60s and so far only insulated on the roof. At the moment I have an oil heating system that is about 20 years old and would certainly still run for 5 or 10 years. After that I would have switched to gas. But this new law changes everything. Because after 1.7 I will not easily get approval for a gas heating system. It is also difficult to find information or options; the law states that 15% of the heating energy must come from renewable energies. And none of the options seems to work in my situation. Here is a list of the options and my problems with them.
Gas heating with a supplier contract with biomethane share. / not possible because my hot water supply works via an instantaneous water heater. In this case the hot water supply must also be 15% from renewable energies.
Photothermal / My roof is already full with a photovoltaic system.
Heat pump / my insulation is too poor for this (although I have an air conditioner in the bedroom that can also heat).
Additional pellet stove / I have a large pellet stove in the living room but 30% of the total living area must be heated with it. That would mean I would have to remove the doors in the living and bedroom.
The hot water supply with instantaneous water heater is already the most sensible solution for me because I live alone and am often out in the field. Thus the hot water consumption is very low and is also generated by the photovoltaic system.
Perhaps someone knows a solution on how to meet the 15% requirement?
I would prefer not to have the heating system changed in a rush. Although I don’t even know how quickly the gas connection can be installed in the house.
I am grateful for any response.
Regards
Sebastian
