We want to lay this floor in our open living/dining area + kitchen to achieve a uniform look

We actually like it quite a bit, but we are somewhat put off by the fact that the stuff is still supposed to be quite toxic according to [Ökotest]...

We also looked at various V.-floors. It is amazing how even tiles are wonderfully imitated and still bring the quietness and warmth of wood. We will also work a lot with vinyl. However, ours will be glued, so that individual vinyl corners can be removed and re-glued later if needed. The click system is really easy, a brief introduction and then get started!

Regarding environmental compatibility and plasticizers, it always depends on the brand or manufacturer. For example, there is vinyl from Meister that has even received the Blue Angel certification. So here you have both the cheap versions as well as the high-quality goods. This should be considered before purchasing. We are also currently looking for a suitable flooring, but I still find about 30€/m quite expensive. Maybe some people have good experiences with online purchases and vinyl?

I started laying vinyl parquet in the hobby room a few days ago. This stuff smells like hell and I stopped after the first row. Even two days later, the stuff still smells to high heaven. I paid 23 euros per sqm and am considering whether I should return the stuff. After all, I bought 32 sqm. Does anyone have experience with how long the smell otherwise stays in the room? And, is it common for the floor to smell like this?
