Hello,

we are also building.

Currently, it is about the cladding of the ceiling edges at the stairwell and the gallery.

We would like to have the ceiling edges plastered accordingly and forgo the usual wooden cladding.

A question for the professionals: Is there anything to consider or what do we have to pay attention to during execution (we are not doing it ourselves)? Will it then also remain "crack-free" permanently?

Thank you very much for your answers.

Whenever gypsum board meets stone or concrete, it will crack. Therefore, don't do it; a wooden edge is technically correct.

... Thank you for your response. Perhaps a bit clearer. It is the area of the raw ceiling (concrete) and the area of the screed to be covered. So similar materials, no drywall, or the like. Still problematic?

I don’t understand... with us, including the [Galeriebrüstung], everything is plastered. Without visible transitions, without cracks.

You can plaster a metal angle in. That is supposed to work.
