Just ask to be sure. You won't need any changes and the building authority staff will be pleased. It can be helpful later if you need them again.
I spoke with the roofing company yesterday. From their side, it’s no problem to install larger double casement windows. Even without the knowledge of the house construction company or the building authority. The only problem is that they don’t carry out the carpentry work on the roof truss and for wider windows a header must be installed for each window. I have a fairly high knee wall of 1.25m and a purlin roof, so for the double casement windows not to be installed too high, the lower header would have to be quite close to the foot purlin, which rests on the external masonry on the upper floor. Does anyone know if this poses a problem? But the building authority people forgot about you after 5 minutes. So save yourself the trouble and just change the windows ^^
It's all a question of presence. If I want to be forgotten, I will be forgotten. If I want to be remembered fondly, I remain in good memory. You could say that I make my living, among other things, by teaching people these skills. The building department officials forgot you again after 5 minutes.
I will talk to the carpenter. Surely something can be done.I can’t imagine that it’s a problem. (But I’m neither a structural engineer nor a carpenter) In the worst case, the alternating rafter additionally rests on the foot purlin, which might then be an optical problem from the outside, or would have to be hidden with a clad roof box.
