Hello,

we are interested in the oven LAGAN and the ceramic hob LAGAN or BARMHÄRTIG.

Does anyone have experience with it and can tell us a little about it?

How easy is the operation?
Does it start beeping when you move a hot pot from a hot plate to an adjacent cold plate?
Does it happen that you accidentally press buttons with objects (pot holders, pots, baking trays)?
Can the child lock be accidentally switched off by a wet pot holder lying on it?

Does the oven smell like solvents or something for a long time? (My brother said there was an Ikea oven in the daycare that still smelled unhealthy).

THANK YOU VERY MUCH in advance!!!!!!!!!!

Ovens always smell during the first startup, so at least 30 minutes at maximum temperature to burn off fats and residues from production.

Lagan cooktop doesn't beep because of the rotary knobs ...

Barhärtig only beeps when the sensors are operated, or several are covered, implausible commands -> warning sound.

Why Lagan, the oven can't do anything except on and off anyway

Yes, the beeping also only referred to the [Barmhärtig Feld].

Why LAGAN. My mother says that with cheap things the convection always breaks after a short time anyway, so she doesn't need it. What speaks against a more expensive convection oven is that behind the holes where the fan for the convection sits, dirt accumulates over the years and you can't properly clean it, and then you get it blown onto the food every time.

Again about the smell, which at the beginning, like with all such devices, you first have to use just a bowl of water or whatever is recommended without any food inside, that's clear, but it seems that the one in the daycare still smells. Well, maybe the operators there didn't do that before final commissioning.

The "small bowl of water" unfortunately does not help at all, as it is about grease residues that occur due to production... The only way to help is to heat the oven to full power, I don't know how long the manufacturers' instructions say, but the cheaper the oven, the "cheaper" the components used and the longer the heating phase, therefore at least 30 minutes. That should be enough.

My oven indicated 60 minutes. I immediately heated it properly, that is, I turned on the pyrolysis. The next two times I used the oven, there was still a smell, then it stopped. In one Lita, the device was probably just put there.

I have never experienced dirt on the food. Nothing can settle because the fan inevitably always blows through during operation. I can hardly imagine that convection/fan ovens have been sold for 40 years if they stirred up dirt (unless the oven is dirty).

Hi,

the Lagan devices are by no means "cheap" in quality, overall they do not differ from the other devices. The glass ceramic is the same as on the other cooktops and the construction and material of the oven cavity are also no different than with the regular devices without pyrolysis. They simply saved on the functions and the trays and knobs, etc.

That circulating air stirs up the old grime onto the food is nonsense. And except for Lagan, we are talking about 5 years warranty on the devices. So definitely not cheap stuff. Don’t always listen to what mom says. For the first apartment or if you don’t bake and cook much, Lagan is a good entry point. You just have to overlook the appearance in this case. Just get proper advice on the devices at your electronics retailer. Many stores also still have ovens that are currently being sold off, sometimes with better functions than Lagan, but even cheaper!

Barmhärtig only reacts with warning tones when it is turned off. So if you put a pot on the neighboring plate that is off, it won’t beep in that case. Basically, it can happen that when wiping over or putting something down, the cooktop activates or changes settings. Unfortunately, that’s the way it is with touch controls. Normally, you are there and then you hear the beep and can turn off or adjust the cooktop again. It does not happen that a pot holder lies on it for a long time and the cooktop takes over on its own. Even if you don’t notice the change, the cooktop has pot detection. If you don’t give any commands or there is no pot on it, it switches off again. If you have cats or small children, it is always advisable to activate the child lock.

Regards

Nayla
