Hello, we are planning to build a passive house and would like to integrate a central vacuum system. We were thinking of the company Schlauchvec from Cyclovec, as according to the advertisement the hose is sucked back directly into the wall and you don't have to carry an additional hose. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there anyone who might already have such a system? Or is there another company that also offers a system where the hose can be retracted? Is there a central place where you can find information about the respective companies for central vacuum systems? Are there no well-known companies like Bosch, Siemens, Miele that offer a central vacuum system? Our house is to be built with a basement so that the system can be housed there.

Hello

we are currently also building new and want to integrate a ZSA. We have had the system from the company Schlauchvec quoted as well. Regular systems were priced at €1200 - €1600 without installation. It is supposed to be so simple that a) you can do it yourself or b) you give the installer, who is already doing the installation in the new building, something extra to lay the tubes as well.

What I did was simply contact 7-8 companies and had them make an offer based on the floor plan. According to my research, there is no central provider that offers all brands. And what I also realized: the usual suspects like Miele, Siemens, etc. rather limit themselves to their standard products.

Then also give the questioner reasons why you advise against it, otherwise they can't make use of your opinion. ;)

.. for vacuuming in the apartment you need a long hose, you will definitely twist and turn this hose, when this hose is then retracted by the system, there will be problems and over time definitely repairs to the system, furthermore such a long hose requires a huge amount of space to disappear out of sight, so plan a small storage room where you can store the hose and the other accessories ...
