The question is: paint on plaster or paint on painter’s fleece. If you want to leave everything white, then you can skip the painter’s fleece. But if you want to repaint walls / add color accents later, then I would use painter’s fleece in those areas. Quite simply, so that you won’t have to scrape off paint residues from the wall later on.
I would leave ceilings plastered with Q3. For bedrooms, living room, hallway, kitchen, dining room, I would use painter’s fleece on the walls.
You described the cracks well. They can appear, and with a fleece over them, they should not be visible.
I’m glad I don’t have to worry about such things anymore^^ (We painted all walls and ceilings Q2+painter’s fleece+white silicate paint).
Thank you for your assessment. At first, we want to leave the walls white. As is often the case in life, tastes change. It may happen that color accents or wallpapers will be added? Does it make a difference—especially when wallpapering—if it was pretreated with fleece?
Apart from the utility room and ceilings, we would then have painter’s fleece applied before painting. We don’t want to spend unnecessary money on things that don’t make sense. But we also don’t want to regret afterward not having done this or that.
