We chose 40 cm. Above the countertop, the distance between the spots (6 watts) is slightly less than 80 cm in our case. This results in very good lighting. You don’t have your own shadow on the work surface; it is always illuminated from at least two sides and additionally by the scattered light reflected from the wall.

We also have lights under the wall cabinets, but I don’t like working there that much, so for me, that’s more decoration. However, we have over 9 meters of countertop, most of which is "free".

So the kitchen was revised once again. There will be a nice glass shelf placed in the part of the kitchen where there are no cabinets, with the corresponding countertop lighting mounted underneath. I also need to come up with something nice to put on the left and right sides of the cooktop.

How does the hallway look now? Is it not possible at all? Preferably staggered instead of in a row?

How did you ultimately realize the lighting, especially in the living-dining area? Thanks
