That's how it is, we also have a span well over 7m Here are some photos;

Without images, I can’t reproduce that. Carpenters have fewer problems with such lengths, sawmills neither. Trees regularly grow taller. With metal profiles, over 6m you always have the problem that either the profile manufacturer no longer offers it as a stock size and/or the bending machines etc. of the processor set a limit. That means it’s not really about the statics, but the bottleneck lies in the profile length "in one piece." Without a central post, it’s hard to fix that with a seam.

that would be the wish, it is still drawn there with an 8m span.
It must not be smaller than 7.3m to get past the reveal. And a central post, I believe, destroys the whole look.

Amazing, that's exactly how the look should be, are you letting it weather untreated? Although I would like the screws to be invisible. Who built the thing, and can you give me a rough house number for such a size? Also gladly by PM.
