Can ceiling spotlights be installed in a filigree ceiling - drilling?

Hello!

We are currently starting the earthworks and now I am right in the middle of planning our ceiling spots. These should be able to fully illuminate the living/dining/cooking area. We plan to attach KG covers to the filigree ceiling and lay the cables directly with empty conduits, then have the concrete poured. We can then make the drillings through the filigree ceiling ourselves later.

Now it is about how the spots are divided. And here we are a bit clueless. We have currently imagined it as seen in the drawing! Is that enough? What kind of spots should I use to achieve full, even illumination?

Hi,

I am interested in the construction with the KG lids.
Which lids, how deep, and with what diameter?
Drilling from below according to the recorded measurements?

Thanks
Alexej

They will probably be 100s with a height of 5 cm.
Enrichment from below and then drill through. Place the lids at the spots and later the core drillings from below.

Hello,
here are three tips from me:
1.) Draw the planned furnishings into your plan. A lot depends on that.
2.) Have proper boxes installed by the ceiling builder. The approximately 30 euro additional cost for a proper box would definitely be worth it to me. In addition, the parts are then installed exactly according to the factory specifications. My recessed lights had a hole size of 86mm. With 100mm covers and a height of 5cm, there isn’t much room to maneuver. I would also question the height in relation to heat development.
3.) Put a pendant light over the dining table. At first, I was against it too, but it definitely looks much better.

The pendant light is marked. The boxes cost 1 Euro each and I can install them AFTER the ceiling has been laid. I can be sure that they are all aligned. The planning is therefore deliberate and proven.

Ok, then good luck with that. Are you drilling the positions from above with a small hole? Is the 5cm height enough for your lights? By the way, for me the positions matched the concrete plant's measurements down to the millimeter.

But once again, the tip: draw your furniture into the plan. And think about when you would like which lighting (ambience).
