Yes, you are probably right and we are getting carried away in the evening sun. Such a beautiful large plot at that price with the unobstructable view we certainly won't get anymore in the region. And I at least know that the rear southern neighbor (we then have three) will not build on the border and also not high (1.5 stories with 0.75 knee wall), so at least nothing much can happen to us in the back.

Somehow the property looks familiar to me. Didn't you ask something similar a few weeks ago?

That is probably your neighbor.

What kind of "forest" is that actually? In the satellite photo, it looks like a deciduous forest with perhaps some scattered fir trees. I wouldn't worry too much about lack of sun in January with that orientation. If it's not all full of beeches, but preferably oaks and chestnuts, the leaves fall quite late there and also come back late. Beeches, on the other hand, keep their dense foliage until December, depending on the region (which is why they are also very popular as hedge plants).

My parents have a similarly oriented house. In late summer, it actually gets rather chilly there during evening barbecues, more so than at the neighbors'. But in winter, the view of the low-standing sun behind the wintry forest through the glazed southwest front is pricelessly beautiful.

May I ask in which municipality this is? If I read Bavaria and quarry, then it can only be my home!
