That can easily make you jealous. It doesn’t get cheaper even in the far East. 50km from Frankfurt you can then expect to pay 5 to 10 times as much.

Here in Northern Hesse it gets even cheaper:
Municipality of Jesberg, 35 min to Marburg, 45 min to Kassel = 17 euros per square meter. In the district it even costs only 10 €. I can even get my new build with 140 sqm living space for under 300,000. But that is really only for someone who doesn’t care about 4G, Netflix, and the like.
