Update 2023: doesn’t help; lawn still dried out. Although the sealing may prevent the concrete from absorbing moisture, the heat input reliably takes care of the lawn at the edges anyway ;) but it comes back for a few months in autumn and spring

Sealing helps but is not enough. Water more in these areas or bury a drip hose.

You might have already come up with my idea yourselves and discarded it for good reasons: Since we greened our garage roof, I have become quite a fan of sedum (until then I always found sedum ugly). However, we only planted the roof with cuttings in May and so I don’t know how which sedum will look in autumn/winter/spring.
