Yesterday we used a day off to fold back the lawn at the worst spot from last year and excavate a bit. After that, we laid a foil as a barrier, added some humus and water-retaining granules, and then put the lawn back on. Let's see if that helps.

Of course.

I can't tell you the company at the moment. For the hedge border and around the house, the landscaper made the edging; I don't know which stones were used there at the moment, and for our curved flower beds, typical rounded mowing edge stones from the hardware store were used.

because the question currently arises whether sealing slurries on the concrete fillet of the curbstones on the lawn side would be useful: : Did your barrier using foil bring improvement back then?

Not really much. Maybe it has gotten slightly better. I think too many things come together at this spot in our case

1.) Corner between the entrance platform and the splash guard strip.
2.) Under the roof overhang on the east side
3.) Potential Christmas tree (which is also still absorbing water) nearby
4.) Laziness of the property owner to lay the hose out in front of the house daily and water.

In spring, some grass seed is always put on, then some grass grows but eventually it's ruined and doesn't come back.
An alternative would be to install an irrigation system there or plant something else robust,
