We have 4 motion sensor lights in the outdoor area:

- in front of the garage
- in the carport
- on the terrace
- at the garden shed

So far, over 4 years, objects have been stolen from our yard twice. All motion sensors were on and the property is not hidden behind meter-high walls. But that did not deter the thieves... The motion sensors go off now and then and eventually, no one pays attention to what triggered them anymore...

The only thing that has brought peace for the past 2 years was a clearly visible camera in front of the driveway. Since then, the thefts have always happened on our neighbor’s property. Which is relatively small and also close to the street... right in front of it a bright LED lantern that almost lights up the entire property. But even there people climb over the fence and steal... I believe already 3 times this year. As a result, she has now also gotten a camera... since then it has been quiet...
