Yes, beyond your imagination. It's common in the countryside where everyone knows everyone.

Oral contracts are valid... Yes! But they don't regulate anything. As you already say: you can wait a long time for the excavator to finally arrive. The BU can take its time there. Wants to be good! But maybe it doesn't want to?!

So (even though we have already had negative experiences in this direction) I basically like the idea, you know each other, handshake, payment according to construction progress and costs according to the LV which the BU has filled out, done.

That's exactly how it's done. There are no parasites on board.

Hello Payday, thank you for your detailed response and the interesting example... By the way, the company did not suggest building without a contract.. The topic simply never came up. I have a bit of the feeling that they just don’t want to deal with this lawyer blah blah. They just want to do their work well.. The boss himself is proud of hardly ever exceeding the schedule for any construction.. rather shortening it. According to our friend, organizing is also a strength of the boss. We are also not under any time pressure. Seven months have been promised. If it takes 12 months, it’s not the end of the world for us.

Best regards Steffi
