May I ask how big your field is? You could perhaps approach a project developer to see if there is any interest. But even then, it could be a very lengthy and expensive process before your field is rezoned as building land.
The chances of that are unlikely.
Maybe you can also swap land. Some farmers have a plot in a new development area and are still looking for fields. Otherwise, keep the field. It doesn’t consume bread and can still become very useful.
The other day I had a conversation where someone told me a house is always a risky investment. If a bomb falls on it in a war, it is worthless and destroyed. If the bomb falls on your field, you take a loader and fill the hole back in. And if there is nothing left to eat, at least you can still grow grain, potatoes, fodder beets, and cabbage on your field. Of course, that is not possible with a mini-plot in a new development area.
