Well, the building expert will be able to document on site and based on the plans WHETHER it is a building defect. With this document, you can then possibly take further steps. Nevertheless, I took a look at the thread (from December) ... I have seen these thresholds quite often: I think, in apartment buildings, so it does not seem unusual. Or are you just burning money in the home savings contract?

Hello Yvonne,

You mean first a small parapet and then the window?

If you answer the first question with "yes": I am happy to offer this form as well; however, not as access to a balcony, that would rather be nonsensical!

First a parapet made of masonry up to 0.30 m or 0.40 m and then a construction of 0.60 m/0.50 m on parapet height 0.90 m made of VSG (and then a normal window) makes it easier for residents to clean the window and increases safety during this activity. With "normal" casement elements, you simply cannot properly reach the corners of the outer window frame; at least not without acrobatic skills and a high risk of falling.

To answer this question, I would like to see the dimensioned floor plan.

Rhenish greetings

I really mean access to balconies – so doors! I can’t tell you anymore whether it was old or new construction, but I have seen it several times (I do get around a lot, but with a focus on other things).

I’ll send you something!

Regards Yvonne

So if I read that correctly, there should be a double window or a double door with a height of 2 m (+25cm for the roller shutter box) over a width of 1.51 m with a parapet height of 27 cm (above the raw ceiling) or 12 cm above the floor. And that twice.
