Why there are now images included twice and three times I unfortunately do not know, but at least I managed to upload images.

This is how the situation presents itself. I would estimate the wall thickness of the garage to be around 10cm even though it looks much thinner in the picture.

[emoji848] Did the terrace slip through the approval?

I'm all for terraces on every corner for breakfast, evening sun, sundowners..., but those would be terraces you just make with some leftover slabs (if any) out in the greenery. But this edge development looks to me as if it would have to be torn down if push comes to shove.

Honestly, I can't imagine sitting there nicely at all... near the garage door and the neighbors... [emoji848]

Maybe there shouldn't be a seating area there, but Rollo wants to use it as a shelter and at the same time prevent water from being pushed into the garage during heavy rain ;)

Yes, that will be the case ;)
Money is always well invested in paving ;)

But just wait until the neighboring house is sold... and an Alfred moves in... oh la la

Right, it’s not supposed to be a seating area.
More like a shelter for some things that are currently standing in the garage and need to be taken out. These should actually go into a garden shed, but I find such an extension of the garage more practical.

Before I would have to tear down my terrace, the “new” neighbor first has to tear down his huge carport measuring 9.5 x 6 meters and his huge garden shed; after that, I would probably have to remove my shelter with terrace.
But hopefully that won’t happen anytime soon; the houses have only been there for about 2 years and the neighbor won’t move out that quickly. I’ll probably move out before that happens.

I will go to the hardware store today and prepare the wooden board and mount it on the end of the garage.
Good task for a Saturday. Not too much and not too little work.
