Friends of mine also wanted a tiny house or mobile home. After working almost non-stop for several years, they wanted to have peace and quiet. The rented apartment in the small town was too noisy; they wanted to get out into nature and take things slower there. They had some capital but no large savings. At first, they rented a camper for a few months, then spent a few months in various holiday apartments where it was nice. Now they will soon settle down: a mobile home with almost 50 (or was it 60?) square meters has been purchased (60,000 euros including bathroom and fitted kitchen). A pitch has also been found at a quiet campsite, soon it will be transported there.
For the two of them, it is initially an interim stage; theoretically, they can still change location if they no longer like the area. As I know them, this will be pretty ideal for them and I am incredibly happy to be able to admire the little house in person. However, it no longer really has anything to do with a tiny house; it is more like a holiday bungalow with a living room including an open kitchen, bathroom with shower, and 2 bedrooms. I can understand my friends’ line of thought – with their budget, they have something of their own, can design it themselves, and theoretically can also move with it.
