Hi Michael
I see the storage size, apart from very small tanks, rather as a matter of convenience for a project. Those who spend the construction phase using hot water certainly do not have very high demands. Then there is also the matter of considering the available space, which is not unlimited for hot water, and the issue with the available connection capacity.
My idea would be, for example, a 50-litre tank set to 45°C during the day and increased to up to 85°C shortly before showering. The usable volume then increases significantly.
This should be complemented with a shower thermostat and an efficient shower head to reduce large withdrawals in a short time and the associated mixing in the tank.
