I'm glad about the hint. Thank you.
How thick should a Wedi board be if it is to be glued to a substructure (three-layer board)? Do I have to seal it before tiling? (Shower cabin)
Michael
I can't say much about the thickness. For me, a small partition wall for a shelf in the shower was made from it. I think the boards were about 1 cm thick for that. I then had the leftovers used for the side window reveal. The aerated concrete blocks used in the exterior wall did not hold the plaster that was previously there well, and it came off when removing the old tiles that were glued there.
The boards in the shower were definitely sealed with a Botament sealing and uncoupling membrane. Whether a sealing slurry was also used underneath, I don't remember exactly, but I think everything in the shower area was sealed twice.
