Certainly, everyone follows trends a bit. We will also use oak floorboards, etc. I try to weigh for myself what will (probably) still please us for a longer time and what rather will not.

So oak has been used in construction for centuries, that's anything but modern. That's exactly the epitome of timeless :)

because you apparently are the only one who thinks that one should decorate timelessly and leave fashion aside. Especially oak is subject to fashion. Gelsenkirchen Baroque is rustic oak, 1960s... then oak was taboo. Then it came simple and lacquered, then country house stained, then normal German oak was no longer enough and now they go for wild oak, first bog oak, now limed... I'm sure I missed something... So, just simply leaving fashion aside, especially because you probably won't find timeless simplicity that easily on the shelf, is not an option. And where does timelessness begin? Is it the veneer from the 70s? Etc. That about timeless oak....

Thank you for your tips, we just like these black accents combined with white contrasts. Fashion aside. And I don’t think that will change in the next few years.

Does anyone have experience with the Hansgrohe faucets in matte black? Specifically, whether the surface (called Finish Plus) is recommended or, for example, extremely scratch-sensitive.
