Yes, I also filled out the form 3 or 4 times, that was easy, but each time I only specified the newly appointed craftsmen. At some point, it drives you crazy.

I would also be interested to know the background of the question, because primarily I would say: That’s none of your business at all, since the source of funds for the construction itself is irrelevant.

I basically see it the same way as you, but unfortunately there are also many things that seem to follow a different logic than that of common sense.

One has to give the Building Code this much: they are fast. Today already (after 3 days) came the request to provide a copy of the construction financing, showing that I am also registered - to recognize me as the builder. Let's see what the phone inquiry about this nonsense brings; they should be able to figure out themselves that, as a non-property owner, I do not enter into a loan agreement. And if we present them with our private contract, I will certainly black out the numbers - after all, the amounts are none of their business.

The client is the one who is legally and economically responsible for a construction project or does so on behalf of others. Neither is the case with you, even if you feel differently. In this respect, the confusion "from outside" is understandable and has nothing to do with the "forward thinking" of your counterpart.

That is indeed correct. You are not listed in the land register, nor are you in the loan agreement. Therefore, you are not a client in the legal sense!

Thus, you need to be insured accordingly for activities on the construction site.

I see it differently in some cases. If he/she places the orders as the client, he/she is economically responsible. Where the money comes from is another matter.
