BG BAU forms despite construction company: What more do they want – and how do I get rid of them?

Hello,

Yes, you built. And as the builder, you are obliged to provide information!
Specifically about whether the general contractor did everything, whether you performed any work yourself (for which you then pay insurance contributions but would have no claims yourself) or whether helpers assisted you with the own work (for which you pay significantly more insurance contributions, but they would also have claims in case of an emergency).

If everything was done by the general contractor in your case, wonderful, fill it out and done. Preferably by registered mail with return receipt, so they don’t lose your response either. Fax probably still works with them as well... ;-) They haven’t been able to handle fancy stuff like online forms or emails with me yet.

Best regards,

Andreas

The question is, is my buddy even a helper? The construction is finished and he helped build the children's swing and fell during that? What now, with which professional association do I report now?

And where do I report my severed foot with the spade that I suffered in the garden after the completed construction?

Come on. It's fine. I got it.

Why are you asking? It's about the house, not a swing. If your buddy fills out the accident report truthfully, then you're the one screwed who has to pay everything. That just makes you unhappy financially. You don't have to suspect evil or rip-off everywhere when you get an offer for precaution.

There is simply a higher risk of getting injured during house construction, and the injuries can be more severe than in normal life. Although there are always discussions that, for example, sports injuries like skiing, soccer, etc. are no longer covered by regular health insurance.

I find a compulsory insurance through the BG in case of private house construction acceptable.

It's not a rip-off at all. If you have assigned everything to companies and have no helper hours, nothing is due. If you have helpers, you and your helpers are insured for relatively little money.

.. one is considered an entrepreneur, since one employs someone. And yes, with a higher health risk, as you also say.

If you are so clumsy and stab your foot with the spade in the garden, it is private and has nothing to do with the house construction. If the door falls on your head, you should have better paid a craftsman to install it.

You cannot report that to the BG and do not have to pay anything.

How should the BG know whether you built the house with many helpers on weekends, holidays, and during vacation, or whether you signed a contract and only started working when the moving van arrived. It is understandable that they investigate every construction site; who else would report anything – unless there was an accident.
