The toilet is currently exactly where it is according to the latest drawing – that is, at the bottom left. Well, I thought we could move the toilet wherever we want since we are going to gut everything anyway. But of course, from a cost perspective, it makes sense to plan it where it is now. If the double-sided entrance can’t be managed, then it’s not going to happen anyway.

Technically, I am an absolute layman, but I understand this as logic: it is difficult to lay a drain pipe in front of a door. You have to be able to lead wastewater to the drain; the shorter the path, the better. But in front of a door, that simply won’t work. That’s why the toilet should then be located in the right area. Light at your back (washbasin) is also unwise.

I also find jaydee's explanations very sensible. More or less like that, at least, I would have planned it too. Especially with the walk-in shower, a very good idea.

Hello everyone,
I am new here... we are currently renovating a condominium from scratch. Unfortunately, the bathroom is small (2.3 m L x 1.9 m W). The shower will be walk-in (without a level shower tray, fully tiled). Originally, we also thought of a glass wall that is open on one side. Unfortunately, this is not possible due to the narrowness of the passage or entry area.

An alternative is a foldable glass wall or a shower rod with a high-quality shower curtain that can also serve as an eye-catcher.

What do you think?

Best regards
