Hello everyone,
we are planning a new building and now have to determine the layout of the bathroom.

We have been to 2 large bathroom studios, but there you can only see huge bathrooms with very expensive solutions that don’t even offer much storage space.

Attached is a proposal for our floor plan. We actually like it very much, but in the floor plan forum we are advised to have more floor space in the utility room. Do you have any ideas on how to implement that?

The problem with our floor plan is the position of the window and the door. Does anyone have a similar situation or a good idea?

Best regards, Afralea.

... which, however, have not yet been finalized, so I find the question a bit premature: with a change in the wall layout towards the utility room (with or without a connecting door to the garage), the cards would be reshuffled, and the "framework" of the floor plan is by no means fixed yet.

I would therefore first wait for the progress of the thread .

Hello 11ant, I didn’t know that you are active in several forums here. Sorry! I thought the bathroom specialists are only active here... By the way, you have already helped me a lot in the above-mentioned thread! Thanks again for that! Best regards, Andreas.

Even if: foruminternal links are allowed and I find it useful when one can take in preliminary information, therefore I would always link such side questions in the thread about the house "as a whole". And merely because I think that this is still quite at the beginning in this "main thread," I would currently not go into such details. In my opinion, the wall between the utility room and the bathroom will no longer exist in this form next month; the design will have already been significantly refined in the discussion by then.

Afralea. What do you want to do with the chamber? Can the building services go in there? Like electricity, boiler, water heater, modem? Then you would be much freer in planning the bathroom area....

Hello you two,
I’m still not quite sure what you have planned for me or my floor plan....

So, a large wardrobe should go into the [Kammer].

I’ve only drawn a small wardrobe in the bedroom. I want to put delicate furniture with lots of glass in there. I don’t really like those huge wardrobes measuring 2.5x2.2m...

The big wardrobe in the [Kammer] will then hold ski jackets, ski pants, sleeping bags, etc., and all that stuff you sometimes need (wrapping paper,...). I just need a (dry) room where all that junk can go.

I think the technical room next to the bedroom is acoustically unfavorable. OK, maybe something could be done about it with [Kalksandsteinen].

But if the technical equipment goes into the [Kammer], the bathroom will be huge and I won’t be able to get into the garage anymore....?

Best regards, Afralea.
