Hello everyone,

our house construction is progressing and I wanted to show the current layout of the bathroom on the upper floor here and ask for comments / suggestions for improvement. The original idea was to have 2 separate washbasins/mirrors. The floor plan can no longer be changed, at most the width of the bathroom can be extended to 3 m. There are no sloping ceilings. Due to the tube-shaped layout, I find it difficult to create 2 washbasins... The long side is 5m, the narrow side 2.76m.

Thank you very much for your comments.

Regards Mathias

I would swap the bathtub and shower. The bathtub then directly next to the 45-degree wall, and that way you have one less dirty corner. The shower possibly rather elongated than square. Should there also be a washing machine or something in the bathroom? Or why is the space so empty next to the bathtub?

Thank you, yes, we also thought about swapping, especially since more light would then fall into the shower. However, the window faces the street and we fear that at an angle, people could still look into the shower... but not into the bathtub.

The washing machine will go into a separate room. The space simply exists there, for possibly a small cabinet or something.

We are now thinking of extending the wall around the shower so that the entrance (about 70cm or so) is only on the angled wall.

But I'm sure with 13 sqm "more is possible"...

Hello,
Dimensions would be good, how big is the shower planned to be? 1.50 x 150?
It would also be interesting to know where the wastewater drain is planned, in order to possibly rearrange the toilet.
And: do you want a corner bathtub, or is it just a temporary solution?

Regards Yvonne

Hello,

the shower is currently about 1.5x1.5 according to the plan. That's how it comes out of the architect's planning program.
The tub is a 6-sided tub placed into the room so that a shelf is created behind it in the corner. However, it does not necessarily have to be this tub shape. It should just be 1.8m large/long.

As I said, if someone has other ideas, just go ahead. I can then take up the ideas directly.

The water drainage downward is in the corner of the toilet.

The room dimensions are 2.76x5.04m. Or rather, the short side by the stairs is 4 m.

No sanitary facilities have been purchased or selected yet, so everything is still possible.

Do the shower and tub also have to be drained there? I would honestly be interested in the solution (as a layperson).
