Hello everyone,

attached is the draft of our bathroom. What makes us ponder is the question of possibilities where to place cabinets, etc. Maybe one of you has ideas about this or if things should be moved around in the bathroom. The wall between the toilet and the sink is supposed to be a narrow piece of furniture serving as a room divider. We have refrained from having proper walls between the toilet/sink and shower wall/toilet.

So my parents-in-law simply have something like base kitchen cabinets built into the two sinks (I estimate 1.5m wide and 0.6m deep) and in them they have stored a lot of towels and other bathroom stuff, or what exactly do you mean what other furniture you still need in the bathroom?

Already cupboards for towels, cleaning supplies, cosmetics, etc. I myself do not see this as a problem, but my partner is concerned that there is too little space.

Hello,

we had some furniture made for the bathroom by our kitchen fitter – a washbasin cabinet / mirror cabinet and wall cabinet.

Maybe this could also be an approach for you – especially smaller kitchen fitters are often very creative with such things.

In addition, bathroom furniture from the kitchen fitter is often of better quality and cheaper than much of what you find in specialist sanitary trade on this topic.

You could certainly also fit a washbasin cabinet and a mirror cabinet in your place. The piece of furniture between the washbasin and the toilet should also be no problem. Depending on how your shower door opens, a (hanging) cabinet between the shower enclosure and the bathtub would also be possible.

Regards,

Dirk

Basically, a washbasin cabinet and a mirror cabinet are always recommended to have the necessary utensils within reach. We also have a wall cabinet with a width of 60cm and a height of about 140cm.

Does the shower retain the shape and size as drawn?
If yes, I would definitely hang a towel holder on the wall at the bottom plan between the shower and the tub.
Then you might still have space on the right plan between the door and the tub for a 60cm cabinet.

Will you still get a towel radiator?

By the way, suitable furniture is also available in furniture stores and not only in the sanitary specialist trade. For the common series of ceramic manufacturers, there are usually also suitable furniture from third-party manufacturers at significantly lower prices.

Or you ask your kitchen manufacturer for a custom-made item as has already suggested.

Whether we will install a towel radiator is not yet definitively decided. But we have already considered a towel holder between the bathtub and the shower. Then the shower cabin door must be accordingly (sliding door, for example) and must not swing open as a full door into the area between the bathtub and the shower.
