Your um, was also on the tip of my tongue when I took note of your basement costs. I agree with the building expert - for that price, at least living space equipment, height, technology, windows, sauna, etc. are to be expected.

So we are not the ones with the 85,000 EUR basement!! See my post above. Our planned utility basement is supposed to cost about 36,000 EUR.

Regardless of the fact that nothing can probably be changed about the status quo anymore and assuming the excavation itself was part of the scope of work:
- was the disposal of the excess soil clarified before awarding the contract?
- how was the general contractor commissioned for removal/disposal?
- or no order at all, does the general contractor just drive away and send an invoice?

By the topsoil you probably mean the topsoil layer, which is usually stripped off and stored on the property, if there is space. For one meter of clay soil and the rest gravel (which will be reused), the price of around 22.00/m³ is already at the upper end of the scale.
