In the end, the client always chooses and supervises anyway. At least that was the case with us. If we hadn’t been on the construction site every day, it certainly wouldn’t have run so smoothly. Nothing against our site manager, he was great. Are there actually clients who only come to the construction site when the house is finished? I would find that really crazy. Does that happen? Just pay and final acceptance? Well, from me, that person would deserve the medal for calmness and coolness of the year. ..but I know. Berlin Airport – they did it like that or are still doing it like that.

No one claimed that your experiences are clumsy, I merely pointed out that a lot has changed in construction over the past 30 years. And in the original post, you wrote about 3 houses built so far, not that you had practically worked in construction your whole life.
So it was not intended to portray you as an amateur; I just wanted to raise awareness.

Yes, I know someone like that.
He only comes to the construction site occasionally to enjoy how the house is growing, but not for critical questions or even control.
However, he once unintentionally caused a colleague to momentarily lose his breath with absolutely dry humor when, in response to the colleague’s question about how he could afford such a house on his own, since ancillary costs are already quite a lot and on top of that the bank payment with which installment? he answered he was just thinking about where to invest the rest of his money properly *lol*
