Hello nordanney

expropriation is a severe interference with fundamental rights. Even if all necessary reasons were given, I consider the requirement that it "cannot be acquired through voluntary mutual agreements" as not fulfilled here. The property owner wants to agree. But the offer price is too low for him. Here it is about a difference of about 2,000 euros to reach an agreement. Which court accepts expropriation for such an amount? And expropriation takes years. As a property owner, I would just lean back calmly and let time do its work. If expropriation were that easy, the state's desire to cheaply skim off assets would be wide open.

It actually is with the basic conditions. And I don't see the standard land value for a long time.

Hello nordanney

that frightens me deeply.
I always assumed that expropriation is the last resort after years of attempting to reach an agreement.
Then we are closer to the expropriation fantasies of the SPD than I fear. Mr. Kühnert wants to take away any property ownership beyond what one personally lives in and transfer it to the state. So no more vacation homes, no more rental apartments for retirement, no more allotment gardens. Everyone gets the same. Whether they work for it or not.
Hasn’t this always failed so far? How many times is this being attempted now?

It has always been like that since the Basic Law exists. And indeed, it is only carried out in rare cases – just google "expropriation property municipal concerns". A brochure from the district government should appear at the very top as a result. Then you will calm down a bit again At least under current legal conditions, but I do not see any change even in the distant future.

Hello nordanney I was not worried at all. Although I would have reason to be. The state is currently expropriating me coldly (without compensation) It is costing me over 30,000 euros. I have to have things destroyed that I legally purchased. And due to government trickery, I won’t get a single cent for it. Steven
