Are roof tiles raised near the roof window - is that normal?

The roof frame lies directly on the battens and has a back edge approximately 1 cm high. Logical thinking explains why the last roof tile before the window is slightly raised. The same situation applies at the connection to the neighbor. Google the installation instructions for your tiles. Don’t they have to be staggered?

Oh my God, we never thought about that, we wanted to have these tiles and didn’t think further about it, nor did we explicitly say that they should be laid in a line. Do you think the water will somehow drain worse because of this? The problem is, or rather I don’t think the roof will be re-covered since our photovoltaic system is already installed.

I have checked, so it is usual in the overlap because of the wind suction, but if you use brackets it also works and you have the correct roof pitch. It should just not be that half the tile flies away directly. Besides, only now at the end it became clear that the tiles were not really laid straight.

... and took another nice photo of horror for us: it looks on the scaffold as if no verge tiles are being used. You might want to forward my question about what the "roofer" does for a living to his guild master (?)

I see a finishing sheet there which can normally be used as an alternative to verge tiles with a 5cm gap to the tile.

Instead of "normally" I would rather say "optionally," and a connecting sheet metal that doesn’t fit cleanly in the slightest is a scream by itself, which I hadn’t noticed quickly at all. I would really like to see this roofing diploma slowly now. "Master certificate" does not mean receiving the most letters from angry customers in your trade [hheh]. seriously: check the homepage of the guild for the headmaster or for experts. Someone should probably be put out of their misery.
