If a family member had an allergy to strawberries (which only occurs upon direct contact), I would not give them up. And, yes, many things grow out of in children (other allergies are then very likely to develop later ...). By the way, we have relevant experience ;-).

The garden should be safe for the little one. I don't feel like holding her favorite fruit in front of her nose and making sure it doesn't get eaten.

Children do grow up and are generally not stupid. But, it is your decision :-).

Yes, if older. Strawberries do not take years to bear fruit. As long as 1 strawberry is enough for [Pseudokrupp], nothing goes into the garden. I don’t need another hospital stay because of anaphylactic shock.

I wouldn’t do that either. Always be careful. In our garden, strawberry plants are growing in three places even though we didn’t plant them. They all come over from the neighbor. I’m leaving them as ground cover now.
