The tree was 3 years old. It had some fruit, but even more were eaten by the wasps. Then last year there was a late frost that killed all the blossoms and half of the branches. It didn’t get better, rather worse, so we dug it up in August. That’s how it is with gardening: you have to part with plants when the time comes.

The dead and straight-cut gardens are a horror to me. Currently, I have to manage on my balcony. But here, every year I have more flowers and vegetables, there is just enough space for two folding chairs and a small table... I think it's great to garden in such a small space, this year I will probably build a small roof over it, then I'll finally have rainwater and can hang a few plants on the roof :) Well, and if I ever move to the big garden, I will probably have to quit my job. With about 700m² of garden, I certainly wouldn't have time to go to work anymore.

I hardly like any fruit myself, but I'll throw Mirabellen into the mix. My grandma had a large bush in the garden, and it was always full every year. PLZ 58099.

Bush or tree?
How was it positioned? Sheltered from wind? Sunny or partially shaded?

Mirabelle would mix well with apple (as juice), then a bit of chamomile and mineral water and you have something nice to drink. What I would like would be plums... Hardly available anymore, probably because of the many wasps that are attracted, but that is the fruit that puts all others in the shade in terms of taste.
