Not so unusual. My advisor also knew about the last increase a few days in advance.

Why actually, if the key interest rate has been cut again?

The thread is from June 2013. At that time, interest rates rose again and there was no talk yet of another (or now completed) reduction of the key interest rates.
As a possible reason, the financial intermediary told me that the KfW was also used to finance the flood damage at that time and therefore increased the conditions elsewhere (for the home builder). But it could also have just been populist agitation.

Hello

It may be a marketing move, but it could also be that the rate is increasing. 0.3% can already be quite a bit.

For us, 0.1 was about 22 €. That would be 66 € or a nice meal once a month at Italiano.

It plays a much bigger role than just the key interest rate in the cigar factory going up or down.
