I can't think of any for builders right now. Also keep in mind that things often don't run smoothly. Bankruptcies are often dragged out for a long time, builders are kept waiting, construction stands still for several months and nothing happens, and what is built is often done with defects. Really read through the linked thread from beginning to end, it's a horror story.
Therefore, unless you have 100% a good feeling about the company, I would advise against it. Making a bad choice can end in personal bankruptcy, and personally, this payment plan chopped up like parsley by Peter would be enough to set off my alarms.
