Caution, no knowledge, just personal opinion: Such a tightly scheduled payment plan with so many small interim payments suggests that the general contractor may not necessarily have a lot of money saved up. These are often the cheapest providers, sometimes working exclusively with subcontractors and hardly doing any work themselves. Some of them are constantly on the edge of insolvency. Imagine it happens to you that your general contractor files for insolvency in the middle of your construction project; in the worst case, you may also have defects or have overpaid. Then you end up with a half-finished house, a bag full of problems, and you have to try to find another company to get you out of the mess. When you find one, it often won't be cheap.

Addendum: Your payment plan has 20 installments. For comparison, ours has 7.

There is a suitable insurance for that, isn't there?

We had the pantry added later, the connection for the washing machine is planned in the utility room as well.

For construction clients themselves, I don't know if it exists. If it does, keep in mind that such matters rarely proceed smoothly. On the part of the developer, there are probably guarantees for such things, yes. But whether your general contractor has one?

You mean the developer may also have the ulterior motive with the "separation" of land sale and construction contract to evade the Real Estate Agent and Developer Ordinance by disguising himself as the general contractor? – one could consider that a little bit criminal among preacher’s daughters, if the similarity to reality were not pure coincidence. For risks and side effects, don't just ask your doctor or pharmacist, but also read this thread:
