Hello dear ones,

my wife and I have been looking for a house provider for some time who can realize our house in the American style (New England style). Everyone who builds prefabricated houses says they can build this style, but when asked for reference houses, the options become quite scarce.

Therefore the question is whether someone can recommend a house provider? Preferably from the south.

We were in contact with Greenville, but we backed away because of the unusual upfront planning costs and the contract structure.

We really liked Rörvikshus, but unfortunately it is too expensive for us. Does anyone have experience with Rörvikshus? Are the construction costs worth it?

Many greetings,
Dennis

Cape Cod? Colonial? Craftsman? Shaker? Greek Revival? Farmhouse? Victorian? 4 Square?

At Baufritz, there is a category "New England" under "Baustile". Maybe there is something there? They would definitely be in the south...

Certainly not the cheapest price-wise, but freely customizable (with own or Baufritz-associated architect), transparent pricing, and even the standard is very high quality.

It should be built in the New England style

If it is meant to look really good - and not like a bad copy of a person who only knows houses from stories - then I would plan freely with an architect. The timber frame construction method is not complicated, but the detailed planning, such as the window formats or the formats of the facade cladding and roofing, determines whether it looks good or like something intended but poorly executed.

There is no New England style. :) I assume it is going towards Cape Cod, Shaker, or Colonial? So symmetry with wooden cladding? And a porch?
