Alignment of house and garage (2 variants)

which orientation is "better"? Of course, the house should be positioned further back than in the sketch, as it makes the most sense to design the garden between the house and the street facing south.

I think both options have pros and cons.

I just want to know whether it is better for the garage to be oriented NW or SE.

You have to decide that for yourself... In the East the sun rises, then the sun moves towards the South and West. Does the garage possibly block a room in the SE where you actually want sun? I would put the garage in the North, but that is more a matter of taste, also regarding access etc.

Where are you driving onto the property from? Is that possible along the entire side of the street? Where should the house entrance be? A few more details would be helpful. Without knowing more, I would prefer the option of the garage in the NW.
