Why is the thing with the outdoor unit actually nonsense? It may be that there is also an indoor unit with supply and exhaust air, but there are outdoor units after all!

Hello, These assessments actually reflect what one could expect in practical operation. Without an exact dimensioning, preferably not by the seller, the question is indeed and reliably not answerable! The "maintenance costs" result from a consumption forecast considering the actual, specific parameters. In one case, the brine heat pump and in the other case the air heat pump will prove to be appropriate or sensible. Anyone who specifies "maintenance costs" flatly without knowledge of the framework conditions is fundamentally untrustworthy! Best regards

Hello,

You're not serious, are you? At least you should know the extra cost compared to the condensing boiler including solar .... brand ....

Yes, of course there are systems where everything is basically housed in one device. But there are also so-called split units, where there is an indoor and an outdoor unit. I am confronted daily with the statement that "these systems are so loud" that I am surprised not to have dreamed about it yet  Even with split units, there are differences, and I have to say, the German manufacturers do not really take noise reduction at the outdoor unit seriously. However, there are reputable air conditioning manufacturers who also specialize in air-to-water heat pumps, and their outdoor units are anything but loud; sound pressure levelH / dB(A) clearly < 35 - the legal limit is 35 dB(A).

These outdoor units are anything but loud and can be very well positioned - for very sensitive individuals - above the garage; then you don't hear anything at all :)

Kind regards

I have meanwhile read up a bit more. The problem will probably be the undeveloped area for the surface collectors. Especially since we do want to have some bushes in the garden after all :) And drilling downward will probably cost a lot too. Regarding the maintenance costs, I wasn’t thinking of exact figures but rather rough guidelines.

Otherwise, we are planning a house without a basement with about 145-150 sqm of living space.

But since solar was never an option due to unfavorable orientation and no space for solar because of the dwarf dormer.

With the noise of the air heat pump, that’s what I was told, I haven’t heard one yet. But they’re still not pretty. And not everyone can hide them on the garage.

Hello,
So "reference points" would clearly be too little for me, especially when it comes to a significant investment decision. Both are important, the investment and later consumption. There is indeed a significant correlation. Ultimately, one has to live with the chosen solution for about 20...25 years.

Best regards
