Air heat pump electricity meter!?

Hello, our air heat pump will be installed soon. An electricity meter is already available. Do I now need another meter and another electricity tariff? Thank you very much

You only need to if the electricity provider excludes the use of heat pumps in the terms and conditions for regular household electricity. How they would find out about this is another question... You should install a second meter if your provider offers a special heat pump tariff that comes with comparatively low consumption costs. However, calculate this carefully! Often the kWh rate is cheap, but the monthly basic fees, which include the costs for the second meter, often eat up the advantage of the heat pump tariff, so that the second meter is not worthwhile.

Who is "your" supplier? Everything depends on that initially, and you are initially free to choose the supplier.

What electricity consumption do you expect for the heat pump? If the savings from the cheaper heat pump electricity are consumed by the additional costs of the electricity meter... an additional meter doesn't make sense.

But something like that should actually be discussed with you before the meter installation takes place.
